1. Describe the target audience for the product. Include customer demographics and purchase behavior. Explain the media habits of this audience. 2. Describe your creative approach, big idea and story angle for the radio spot. How will you capture attention, engage the audience, and make a call to action?

3. Include the script for the radio spot. In addition to spoken words, include production details, such as the personality of the speaker(s), supporting sound effects, or music. Read your script aloud and practice the timing in an effort to make the script run about 30 seconds.

During this course, you have had the opportunity to view Basquait from two perspective---via the written word and visual experience. This writing prompt requires you to engage in a discussion based on the following points.

- Compare and contrast the reading Basquait biography by Phoebe Hoban and the film Basquait. Be certain to explain which perspective offered the greatest understanding of Basquait: the visual or the written word? Use examples from the film and the biography to bloster your argument.

- How did the music and the sound effects of the film impact your experience in ways that the book could not? How did the acting affect your perception of Basquait?

- What light did Hoban shed on other artists and art dealers of the 80s and how well did she describe the "glitzy" art world of that era? Cite examples from the book to illustrate your points. Did the film give more or less insight into the decade? Explain why or why not.

What audience would you recommend the book to in terms of student education? Lastly, do you feel that Los Angeles Unified School District and other school systems in the Los Angeles area are giving adequate attention to the visual arts and performing arts?
