With this in mind, discuss management of acute pain in the post-operative patient with attention to the following:

Essay Instructions: Pain Management for the Obstetric Patient

Helping a woman manage discomfort and pain associated with pregnancy, labor, birth and recovery from birth is an essential role of the registered professional nurse.
Using APA format, write a six (6) to ten (10) page paper that addresses the comfort and pain relief needs of the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patient.

Essay Instructions: Hi, The assignment is about pain management and how due to some misconceptions about opioids (morphine etc), pain is mismanaged in general and in clinical situations. I am a physiotherapist, not a nurse, so any practical implications need to be written from a similar perspective in private practice. Although if any valuable references from the readings i supply after submitting this request, are specific to nursing or hospital situations thats fine.

Writing style can be reasonably casual, as thats my style anyway. And length can be about 2100 words
