Essay Instructions: Adoption is one solution to the infertility problem faced by many couples. Adoption records used to be confidential so that children did not know the name or location of their birth parents. However, this is frequently no longer the case and many adopted children can use services to locate their birth parents. Consider the rights of the adopted child to know the whereabouts of his or her biological parents. Discuss the effects of this issue on the involved parties (i.e. adopted child, adoptive parents, birth parents, siblings). Conclude paper with my own perspective on this issue: I believe that if the child wants to know his/her biological parents, this opportunity should be afforded to them, to include health issues. Please double space.
