Essay Instructions: The Topic I chose was the importance and history of The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. I turned a thesis into the Professor and he gave me a few suggestions but first here's MY thesis:::
The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company was founded by Frank Seiberling. The first Goodyear factory opened in Akron, Ohio in 1898 manufacturing bicycle and carriage tires, rubber horseshoe pads, and poker chips. As years quickly passed the Goodyear Company became very involved with automobiles and then started experimenting with aircraft design. The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company was a major contributor to the United States military during World War I because they manufactured airships, balloons, and air planes that helped to the Allied victory. Goodyear also played a huge role in boosting the city of Akron’s economy. Today, Goodyear is still playing a huge role in automobiles, aviation, construction, and education.

A very ambitious thesis, any part of which could be a paper all by itself. This is okay, but you many find that it is too much work. If you decide to keep all parts of the thesis, you will need to have a sentence preceding it saying something like "Goodyear Tire & Rubber has had a profound effect on the local and national level from the early 1900s to the present".
However, you guys are the experts so please do what you think is best and how you can help me get a good grade. A couple more things I would like add is the paper MUST rely heavily on primary sources(we are supposed to be real historians) but secondary sources could be used.. Also it says to use foot- or endnotes NOT parenthetical citations.. I will fax you more of the requirements but that is the basic..
