Total Pages: 20 Words: 5732 References: 10 Citation Style: APA Document Type: Essay

Essay Instructions: The project is a bussinuss communcation paper based on follwoing case study"The Accident Insurance Group was a company specialising in the pursuit of compensation claims for victims of accidents either at work or elsewhere. The company pursued claims for compensation on behalf of victims and took a slice of the compensation award if successful. Following a fall in the success rates for personal injury claims and the withdrawal of a key financial backer, the company ceased trading in late May 2003. Approximately 2,500 staff lost their jobs.
Rumours about the future of the company began to circulate amongst staff when some received text messages advising them to look at their bank accounts because there were problems paying salaries; later text messages advised them that their salary had not been paid. There were then stories of the company actually notifying staff of dismissal by text message. The Chairman of the company, Mark Langford, claimed the decision to tell workers they had been made redundant through text message was not his and blamed the administrators, PriceWaterhouseCoopers."

Title: Bid Rigging

Total Pages: 2 Words: 594 Bibliography: 2 Citation Style: APA Document Type: Essay

Essay Instructions: Scenario and Summary

Construction firm number 1 (Denver Construction Inc.) operates in Colorado while Construction firm number 2 (Dells Construction) operates in Wisconsin. Each business has been in operation for the last ten years. They are big competitors of each other and normally go after the same type of properties and construction jobs ranging from timeshare developments, hotels, and water parks. They both specialize in the all-inclusive options for family entertainment. They have sued each other four times over the last ten years. Most recently, Denver Construction had stolen away four sales people from Dells Construction.
There are two properties located in Illinois where each had filed to bid on both worth an estimated 4 million dollars. But at the last minute, each company only bid on one of the properties. The price for each piece of land went for much lower than normal as there wasn?t any bidding from competitors. The properties each only went for 2.5 million and 2.8 million. Both companies cited the economy as they were pulling back their efforts to focus on quality instead of quantity.
The CEO of Denver Construction is rumored to be romancing the CFO of Dells Construction.
The ex-husband claims the companies are working together to keep prices low. He suggests that he has e-mails and text messages to back up his claim. The wife claims the husband is cyber stalking her and trying to ruin her company and career. The two are still battling over the custody of their children.
Their company Facebook pages have removed any listing references to the other property, citing only a press release for their current acquisition.
Each company claims they are innocent but were going to work on a joint partnership with each other for land development in Illinois (which never materialized).

STEP 1: Assessing the Situation
You have been hired to investigate what happened and to see if bid rigging and/or cyber stalking has occurred. Submit four to five paragraphs describing in detail your assessment of each situation and what would need to be done to gain access to the appropriate resources.

STEP 2: Title: Bidding Rigging in Real Life
Research a real-world bid rigging current event and submit a one to two paragraph summary of what happened and the website link.

Essay Instructions: My brother is in grade 7 and he needs to write a speech that needs to be a 3-5 minute presentation. He wants to write an informative but humorous/entertaining speech on what not to do if you're stuck in an elevator and what to do if you're stuck on an elevator.
2-23/4 pages (I'm guessing)

It was New Years Day, Jan. 1, 2012 and my family was skiing in Blue Mountain. It was raining and so all the boys, and there were many of us were bored because it was not a good day for skiing. After ordering and eating pizza, we decided to walk around (that's what teenage boys do. We were on the 3rd floor 0n the hotel elevator, 7 of us between 15-18, when one boy pushed another and that boy hit the elevator door which caused it to stall.

Our parents had just ordered a nice meal at Oliver Bonancinis when they found out via text message that all 7 boys were stuck in the elevator. We were stuck there for 3 hours. It was so hot that we had to strip down to our underwear. The had trouble opening the elevator and had to call the fire department. 2 of the boys are asmathtic, one is ADHD, so you can imagine the outbursts and panic.

Anyways, it is a speech for grade 7 and needs to be informative and funny.
What would cause an elevator to stall?
How to prevent it from happening?
Reasons why not to get into a full elevator.
etc.
