Essay Instructions: Part 1

Paragraph 1 #Define the word "Personality" and explain how it might be useful for a person to learn about his or her own personality. Explain that you have just completed the Big Five Personality Test and inform the reader about how you felt while taking the test;

Paragraph 2 # Select one of the five personality traits and express your intent to prove that the test results regarding this trait are either accurate or inaccurate. Provide TWO examples from your life experiences which support your belief in the accuracy or inaccuracy of your score on this trait;

Paragraph 3 # Do the same thing that you did in Paragraph # 2, but choose a different trait this time: and

Paragraph #4 Write a short paragraph that summarizes what you did in your paper and prepare the reader for what to come in part 2.

Part 2

Paragraph 1 # Provide a thorough explanation of the factors which influence the development of a person's personality. That is, express an understanding of how
A) the people in person's life or
B) a single event that has occurred or
C) an ongoing situation with which the individual must deal on a regular basis will have an effect on the development of a persons personality.

Paragraph # 2 - Select one of the Big Five personality traits (it may be the one that you have selected in part 1 or it may be a different one) and explain how it developed or failed to sufficiently develop in you by identifying a person, event, or ongoing situation which influenced the development, or the failure of development, of that trait;)

Paragraph # 3 - Provide a Second reason ( person, event, or ongoing situation) which influenced the development or the failure of the development of the trait you selected in paragraph #2

Paragraph # 4 - Write a short paragraph that summarizes what you did in your paper and prepares the reader for what is to come.

Part 3

Paragraph #1 Introduce the idea that some aspects of one's personality remain stable throughout one's life and other aspects are likely to change. ( Google - costa and mccrae's baltimore study can help this part)

Paragraph #2 Select one of your own Big Five personality traits and indicate how you would like it to change over the next 15 years of your life. Indicate why you would like this change to occur

Paragraph #3 Give an indication of what you think might have to happen or what you think that you would have to do in order for this change to take place

Paragraph #4 Conclude this paper by predicting how your life might change if you were to be effective in making the changes in the personality trait identified in Part 3

The theory based on the Big Five factors is called the Five Factor Model. Write a 3 pages essay describing one of the five personality traits and the effect of your chosen personality on the work place diversity.
