Essay Instructions: This paper is an example for a Modern rhetoric and public address class, the beginning of the paper needs to be mostly about the life and works of Mother Teresa (sort of a time line format) up until the time she wins the nobel peace prize. The second 1/2 of the paper should be a rhetorical criticism of her nobel pease price acceptance speech. As many of the following priciples of rhetoric as possible need to be discussed in the paper. Audience analysis (must be included!!!) explicit & implicit content, style ,structure and form, delivery, and fantasy theme. If you can not use explicit/implicit or fantasy theme it is ok the others are the most important I will include a few brief class notes in the fax. The language used in the paper needs to be that of a highschool senior or freshman in college level.

Essay Instructions: Under the requirements for the essay is to choose a contemporary archetype and I choose Mother Teresa and for the single classical mythological "source" I choose the goddess Durga (Kali). If there is a better classical source use that. The texts we used in class were "World Mythology" by Roy Willis, "The Power of Myth" by Joseph Campbell and "Parallel Myths" by J.F. Bierlein.
