Far fewer people many understand the real reason she is known for these many endearing and legendary qualities. "One Heart Full of Love" is a compellation of speeches and interviews by Mother Teresa, and it eloquently indicates just why she is so revered by the faithful. Her work took her faith around the globe, and her always-smiling face indicated the reverence of her faith and dedication to her work.

Reading her own words will make it much easier for those who are unfamiliar with her works to get a better idea of what she believed and why she was so adamant about those beliefs. Throughout this short but memorable volume, her words illustrate passion, dedication, and a deep commitment to help others in the name of Jesus Christ and the Church. There are few who could represent themselves or their work so well, and some of the passages will make you marvel. At one point she says, "We spend Rs 20,000 a week just on food for the 59 centres we have in Calcutta" (Mother Teresa 61). How could such a small, seemingly insignificant woman begin to collect this money to help feed the poor and disadvantaged? Clearly, she worked extremely hard at every aspect of her organization, and that is clearly illustrated between the pages of this slim but powerful text. The editor has done a masterful job of choosing the essays and interviews that show this woman at her best, and any reader who is not familiar with the ins and outs of Mother Theresa's work would do well to pick up this book first, before delving into more detailed biographies and studies.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about Mother Teresa and her many accomplishments. However, I would also recommend it to those who may be faltering in their faith or questioning their Church. Reading this book and discovering the dedication and love of this amazing woman could just help restore your faith in your Church and humankind.
