Essay Instructions: Coursework assessment

This assessment consists of the production of a technical report based on the results obtained from laboratory-based practical work undertaken in this module. Each technique should also be evaluated, both in relation to the case study (SLE) and biomedical science in general using relevant literature. Other techniques should also be considered.

Molecular biology
• Provide details of the results of PCR analysis and evaluate the optimisation of this technique with relation to relevant conditions
• Evaluate the role of Quality Control (QC)
• Evaluate how this technique could be applied to the case study used in this module (SLE) and consider other techniques

Conclusion
The conclusion should discuss the overall results from the laboratory practical sessions and analysis of the techniques used
