Essay Instructions: This is an interpretive essay of a specific lyric in "in Memoriam" by Lord Alfred Tennyson. The lyric im using is CXX.
It needs to be read clocely with technical points made on the rhythm, meter(each line has its own meter), emjambent, medial caesura, word choice, and imagery. There also needs to be a cultural aspect and how it relates to the culture of the victorian age (science, evolution vs. religion).
