Research Paper and Power Point Presentation Assignment

This assignment will include both a written paper and a PowerPoint presentation that will be shared.

The following guidelines are to be followed.

Topic: MEDICAL ERRORS

Your paper must include the following, using MLA format.

-Title page
-Thesis statement
-History of the topic
-Case study related to the topic
-Current trends in the topic
-Conclusion
-Works Cited page
-Paper is to be at least 6 pages in length, not including Works Cited page.

POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS

The slides will include a summary of the findings of your research paper. The slides should represent your term paper. You are to include any legal cases that you researched for your paper and interesting facts and information you obtained while completing the research for your paper.

Papers will be graded according to the Rubric attached to the assignment. (I am sending research paper rubric as an electronic document)

Presentations will be graded according to the Rubric attached to the PowerPoint assignment. (I am sending power point presentation rubric as an electronic document)

There are faxes for this order.

Essay Instructions: Medical Terminology
Final Paper
Using at least fifty (50) medical terms in the appropriate context, create any one of the following projects:
1.Write a paper (APA format)
2.Write a poem
3.Write a song
4.Perform a song (with voice and video - include transcript)
5.Write a screen-play
6.Perform a scenario or play
7.Develop a game and be sure to include the instructions. In addition, please add a transcript and recording of the instructions.
8.Write a newspaper article
9.Write or perform a television add (with voice and video, include transcript)
10.Write and draw a comic book
11.Create a fictitious medical record and then explain what is occurring with the patient
12.Tips and Tricks: Develop a training manual for someone in your field using medical terminology
13.Your choice ? but clear it with your instructor by the end of Week 3
You also must make an audio recording of your work.

You will be graded on the appropriate use of the terms, the correct pronunciation and spelling of the terms, and the number of terms used based on the rubric

Between 11 and 15 were difficult to understand the meaning of or why they were used in the context terms 30 to 34 medical terms are used in the right context. I just need to know asap which of the above you would like to write (personally not a song I can't sing LOL) that way I can let the instructor know which I am doing. Ie: an ad, a poem, etc. This is due next week and she hasn't given much time for us to get it all together. That is why I will let the writer decide which one they would like to do. Also, the audio part of this has to do with me not the writer.

Essay Instructions: MEDICAL ETHICAL DILLEMA GUIDELINES:


Write an essay introducing an ethical dilemma of your choice. Include in your essay the following:
a. Describe/define an ethical dilemma that you are interested in or have concerns about as an individual and/or as a future health care worker.
b. Provide meta-ethical solutions to the dilemma as defined within the lecture.
c. Provide normative solutions to the dilemma as defined within the lecture.
d. Be sure to examine the issue from multiple perspectives; even those that you may disagree with.
i. This will determine the length of your paper.
ii. Include any standards published by relevant professional organizations that may apply.
iii. Conclude with the solution you feel would be the most principled. You must have presented rational for your conclusion within your discussion.
iv. All components must be included for full credit to be awarded.
v. The quality of content will also be considered when graded.
vi. Points are removed for spelling and grammatical errors.
vii. References must be included.

Essay Instructions: Medical abandonment generally means the unilateral severing, by the physician, of the physician-patient relationship without giving the patient reasonable notice at a time when there is a necessity for continuing care. To prove medical abandonment, the patient must establish the following elements:
1.) the existence of a physician-patient relationship
2.) that the abandonment is the proximate cause of the injury for which the patient is suing.
