Writer to produce an executive persuasive/impact paper (approximately 3 pages) using the course outline for inclusive content to be addressed in paper (uploaded syllabus and notes) about a selected communication problem from the Agency (Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD)) Strategic Plan.

The communication problem is how to most effectively let those Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) homeowners/renters affected by Hurricane Sandy/Superstom that there are guidance and expedited processing for their insurance applications or FHA insured loans. I.E.:

Essay Instructions: Analyse the decisions, communications and leadership through the crisis with Hurricane Katrina (a cat 5 storm) and Super-storm Sandy.

The initial response to Hurricane Katrina (LA, specifically New Orleans) and Hurricane Sandy (NJ). Was the state prepared? Should the evacuation be mandatory? How did the political figures handle Hurricane Katrina's aftermath? Was the search and rescue sufficient? Were there adequate shelters? What went wrong? What about the local police, were they effective? How was order restored? Did POTUS and FEMA do enough to help the citizens?
What measure were taken by the state, and local government. How much politic and bureaucracy was involved and/or prevented better response to the disaster?

What is the governor of NJ learned from Hurricane Katrina as preparations was made for the state of NJ? Was Super-storm Sandy handled better than Hurricane Katrina (Cat 5 hurricane)

How was communications? (FEMA, POTUS, governors, mayors,and to the citizens)
How did the decisions impact the outcome? (was it positive, negative, or caused more chaos)
Were there similarities with the leadership styles of these political figures?
What was different with the collaboration with the President of the United Stated different between Governor Blanco (LA) and Governor Christie (NJ)?
