I have to write a summary Report on 3 Articles(One of them should at least offer a differing opinion) I have a chose to write about Gastric Bypass Surgery. The articles must be at least 2 pages long and they must come from a credible source. It must be double spaced and be at least 2 pages long! Please make sure that I can access the articles becasue I need to print them out to turn in and to annotate. Below are guidlines for how my professor would like us to format our summary reports. 6 Easy Steps to Writing the Summary Report

1.Find Three articles on your controversial topic.

3.Choose the three articles you feel offer the most relevant and significant information on your topic. At least one should offer a differing opinion.

4.Divide the articles into stages of thought and write a summary of each one. Each summary should include the main idea of the article and at least four or five major supports. Add detail when more explanation is necessary. DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR OWN OPINION.

5.Now write an overall thesis statement that links all three articles. Use the individual thesis statements from each article to write the overall one. Does one article offer a controversial opinion? Consider how each article may tackle the same topic from a different perspective.

(Example of thesis: The articles relating to this new FDA-approved drug reveal a dispute over how the drug should be administered and under what circumstances.)

6.Create a summary report by adding an introduction, conclusion, transitions and documentation.
?Introductions should begin with two or three sentences introducing the topic. It should also include your overall thesis. A blueprint is also recommended.
?Conclusions should restate the thesis and include a clincher.
?Transitions should be used to link sentences within the summaries and to link each paragraph to the next. (See handout.)
?Documentation should simply include the author?s last name and year of publication at the end of each paragraph (Hastings, 2003). You will also need to include a short list of References at the end of your summary report. Follow the APA guidelines on pp. ____ of A Writer?s Reference. You may also follow the example in the text pp. 125-127. Remember, when quoting directly from the article, use quotation marks!

I need to have four sources(Magazine Articles, books, newspaper articles, websites etc.). The sources must be credible and they must be no longer than five years old.. more recent is better. Essay Instructions: i would like for you to create a 5-10 question survey in which i have distributed to my gastric bypass support group equaling 23 people and my human resources peers equaling 9 people. I would like questions to pertain to the feelings of being sterotyped of being inadequate or lazy due to being obese, if a person ever felt discriminated against/or have discriminated against an obese person, the feelings of keeping a long term morbidly obese employee in relations to health benefits and work production, and if the gastric bypass patient feels as if the attitiude of his/her peers has changed since the weight reduction. I would like all of this incorporated in my methods section. In the introduction I would like for you to define morbid obesity and the health source you use for this definition.
