Essay Instructions: I need a paper on the life of a russian emigre--effects of emigration, lifestyle, assimilation in a new culture, etc. my class is russian literature, and we focused on vladimir nabokov, nina berberova, and emigration. this is a graduate level russian lit class, and the prof is a nabokov fanatic, so it is extremely important for all facts to be accurate.

Essay Instructions: The topic should fall into one of the categories of population change: fertility, mortality, migration, or immigration/emigration.

Topic: The past destruction of Sierra Leone to a brighter growing population. In the past the people of Sierra Leone were living in fear for the R.U.F. was traveling around and murdering locals by the thousands in search for natural resources. Along with the high HIV/ AIDS, low life expectancy, high infant mortality rates rate, Sierra Leone was a deprived country. Today, the life expectancy is higher than ever in Sierra Leone and the locals are in search for a better and brighter future for themselves. Include any important political shifts that may have occurred as well that might of had any affect.

Length
The paper should be typed in Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1 inch margins top to bottom and left to right. The length of the paper should be 6-8 pages, double-spaced.


Sources
In addition to the length requirement, you will need to find 8-10 academic sources to include in your research paper. Therefore, you will need to use Ebsco Host and other internet resources as a starting point for collecting newspaper, magazine, or scholarly journal articles.

Remember, your works cited section should be in Chicago citation style.

• Papers without Chicago citation style or inappropriate use of the citation style will not receive a grade higher than a B.
