Please discuss the lack of discipline of liberal dissident clergy by Paul VI and JPII being a problem which hindered the proper implementation of the council. The council's documents restated Catholic doctrine in new ways, but those progressive clerics with an agenda interpreted the sometimes ambiguous VCII documents for their own benefit. First part is just a basic unbiased history of the council. second part talks of implementation and impact. Discuss how impact was positive in eastern europe, africa, and asia, but had mixed results in Europe and America due to what I stated above.
