Title: Utopian Communal Societes and it's Influence on Leadership in the 19th Century

Total Pages: 5 Words: 1688 Bibliography: 3 Citation Style: APA Document Type: Research Paper

Essay Instructions: Name: Lourine Adams
Type of Document- Critical Thinking Contemplative Paper
*Please send all emails to both my primary & secondary email addresses.

Instructions:
Lourine Adams-
Topic -Critical Thinking paper on Utopian Communal Societies and it’s Influence on Leadership in the 19th Century.
I am doing a leadership in education class and the main focus is Utopian writings. I need a contemplative 1,500 word paper from chapter 6 from the Utopian Reader by Claeys, Gregory edition 1999, ISBN 0814715710. The Chapter explores the rise of the utopian community and utopian experiments in the United States and Europe, along with ideas about access to education, work, human rights, property ownership, social structure, individual conduct, and ethics. Many correspond with the French Revolution, and Romanticism . The three or four areas of focus for my paper are on the following topics. The overall topic could be about the utopian communities in these 3 or 4 topics:
TOPICS- ( That addresses the readings of chapter 6)
• Shakers [The Utopia Reader, Ch. 6]
• Oneida [The Utopia Reader, Ch. 6]
• American Fourierism. [The Utopia Reader, Ch. 6]
• Robert Owen. "The Book of the New Moral World." [The Utopia Reader, Ch. 6]
Instructions- Must follow exactly – The paper must cover everything identified in the instructions.
• Please write a contemplative, thoughtful paper (1,500 words) that addresses the readings and the concepts on three or four topics of chapter 6 (I would fax my topics of chapter 6 form the text). The paper can be on any topic that addresses the readings and concepts of the topics indicated by bullet points above. Because the paper should be only about 1,500 words, the paper should be focused. All of the ideas in the paper should be related. It would be better if the paper is organized by ideas, rather than readings. You could present a general idea as the thesis statement in the introduction, and then present more specific ideas (reflecting the general idea) in separate sections of the paper.
• Cite at least three sources. Use APA style for your citations. Be sure to use parenthetical citations not just when quoting a passage from one of your sources, but also when you are using the idea(s) of someone else.
• The ideal paper involves a focused presentation, a well-developed thesis, and a conclusion that integrates the ideas in the paper. Ideas would be supported by relevant examples and evidence. In order to accomplish this in a short paper, the paper would focus on a small set of related ideas presented in a succinct manner.
• The use of headings is important with the organization of the paper. You could have a heading for each section of the paper. In the first paragraph, you could have a specific statement about what you will cover in the paper. All the references in the paper should be in APA style. Each reference in the paper from The Utopia Reader should have the date of publication for The Utopia Reader and the original date of publication. The paper could be more contemplative with more of your own interpretations, and evaluations. insights. To help you in writing future papers, I would like to mention something about my view of the ideal paper (your paper may already have some of these attributes).

Total Pages: 2 Words: 567 Sources: 2 Citation Style: APA Document Type: Essay

Essay Instructions: Create your best model of an ideal Utopian School District plan for special education services. If you could design an optimal, ideal special education system, what would it look like? Think outside the box; assume you have the resources of the Gates Foundation! Dream of what could be and describe what an ideal system would look like in Utopia School District (USD). Stay away from describing what exists for you now; your job is to design the optimal special education system. Tell us about the best of all possible worlds for your students in special education.

Make sure you address 3 areas :
(1) What would happen before students were referred for special education services, i.e., pre-referral?

(2) Once referred, how would students be assessed/identified?

(3) How would students be taught in this ideal service delivery system?
Make sure you address the 3 areas of pre-referral; assessment/identification; and instruction.
