Title: A History of the Critical reception of The Sun Also Rises

Total Pages: 3 Words: 1187 References: 0 Citation Style: APA Document Type: Essay

Essay Instructions: You should offer in Section A a history of the critical reception of The Sun Also Rises. This will show how the text was interpreted since the time of its publication, highlighting those critics who made a major contribution to new ways of interpreting it. Obviously such critics will be making use of a specific literary theory or theories, but the idea is to outline the history of the text''s reception, not to identify, say, the first feminist interpretation of it, which may well have been a poor example of feminist criticism that was largely ignored by succeeding critics.
