This is basically a comparison/Contrast paper of readily available short stories from text book but should be available on the net or your data base. My school requires APA 6th edition and once I receive final copy I can also look over the formatting.

Final Paper

Write an eight- to ten-page paper, in which you compare and contrast two literary works from this course that share the same theme (using the “Themes & Corresponding Works” list, below, as a guide).

The paper should be organized around your thesis (argument), which is the main point of the entire essay. When developing a thesis for a comparative paper, consider how a comparison of the works provides deeper insight into the topic of your paper (i.e., think about why you have chosen to look at these particular works in relation to one another). Essay Instructions: Compare Mathilde Loisel ("The Necklace" by Maupassant) with Cinderella (Perault), Wassilissa ("The Beautiful Wassilissa") and the princess in Roman Holiday.
Introduction: State the title and author. Then give a one sentence summary of each story. Introduce the characters you will compare and contrast. Briefly introduce the characters. Give some quotes from Stanton's "Declaration of Sentiments" to show the social restrictions placed on women in the nineteenth century. Include a statement of the thesis of your paper.
Body (When discussing differences, write a paragraph for each character. Write one paragraph when discussing similarities)

"The essay in particular does a fine job of discussing the links between the authors and their works. My main suggestion is that you could discuss the works themselves in more detail, using specific quotations from the stories themselves to strengthen the "close reading" part of your analysis. The end of the essay includes one long quotation, but it's better, instead, to use a number of small, well-chosen quotes that are distributed throughout the essay to tie your ideas to the texts. The writing at the sentence level is excellent."
