Title: the United States beating the former Soviet Union in the Space Race by landing on the moon first

Total Pages: 10 Words: 3290 Bibliography: 10 Citation Style: MLA Document Type: Research Paper

Essay Instructions: I chose to write about the United States beating the former Soviet Union in the Space Race by landing on the moon first which was classified under Option E. America being the first country to land on the moon was very critical in showing our dominance over the rest of the world especially towards Soviet Union.

Title: Critical Debate of Cold War in The Origins of the Modern World

Total Pages: 10 Words: 2953 Sources: 10 Citation Style: APA Document Type: Essay

Essay Instructions: The criticism of the assistant on my previous paper, which I will submit to you also:

Dear Can

The paper you wrote on globalization and labour, was just about ok: 5/10. The other paper
however (on the Cold War), wasn?t good enough to pass the course: 4/10. Some general
remarks:

- you cannot use Wikipedia as a scientific source! (this is actually also the case for
the first paper).
- you should use footnotes to support the claims you make/refer to sources where you got
your information from.
- for the paper on the Cold War: what is your central thesis? What is the point you want
to make?
- this paper also reads too much as a summary of Marks.
- in this paper, you also make some very strange and bold statements (eg: ?So in my
opinion, I must say without any significant proof, Henry Ford has taken the economic
approach of Marxism, and implemented it to a free market economy?: if you don?t have any
proof, don?t state it! ?On the other hand, the Soviet Union was seen as a villain, who
did nothing but being in a race with the USA, as a country that was trying to stop this
development. In my opinion, this discriminative view on the space race is not fair at
all?: I understand what you want to say, but you can?t phrase it like that; now it sounds
like a moral statement, which is not done in a scientific text.)

So, to pass this course, please take these remarks into account and re-read the
assignment on Minerva (you should take a topic from the book of Marks, and debate it
critically, supported by secondary literature). You can re-write your paper on the Cold
War and hand it in before the 5th of August, no later.

Kind regards
