Essay Instructions: -This paper is fairly a simple paper to write.
The topic is: "Discuss the Social Development from 1876-1911 in Mexican History (the Porfirio age)".
This was the age in which Porfirio Diaz was in control of Mexico.

-By social development that means how this effected society.
-Discuss "Order and Progress" of the era. Include the 'scientific impact', industrial impact, hierarchies in society,state & local politics, and property.
-an excellent source for this is Chapter 13 out of the book "The Oxford History of Mexico"
Edited by William Beezley and Michael Meyer, which I found at the library and am going to try & fax the chapter.
-Other sources can be used also however "The Oxford History of Mexico" is the only book I suggest & would prefer just this as a source if possible. Paper would be better & easier with this source!
-The paper should include an Intro, Body and Conclusion.
-The paper should have no quotes/ quotations unless from "The Oxford History of Mexico"- no extremely long quotes if quotes used
-If do not receive the fax Chapter 13 "The Oxford History of Mexico" THEN OK TO CONTINUE PAPER WITHOUT THE SOURCE to finish by Sat October 23, 2010 11pm EST. Thank you! Sources should be legitimate and minimal of 4 if do not recieve the fax of Chapter 13... if recieve fax try and just use that as a source if possible 1 other sources ok (2 if a must) but minimally used in paper.
