Essay Instructions: The paper itself is suppose to be structured around a specific theory. what i did wrong the first time was make it to broad, so it needs to be a specific theory that is based upon the factors that leads to juvenile delinquency. for example: Social Isolation theory *just made that up and the paper is suppose to structure around this theory revolving around this four areas that need to be boldy subheaded in the paper and just these four: underlying assumptions (what does the author of the theory say is the cause of crime? in other words why do people commit crimes or not?) *this should be one sentence. structure of theory (how does the theory work to explain behavior?)*this is the bulk of the crritique. strengths and weaknesses of theory(what makes the theory a viable explanation for behavior(strenghts) what are the shortcomings of theory in terms of explaining behavior? and lastly policy Implications (what policies can be developed from this theory to address behavior?

these are a list of theories that cannot be used: social disorganization theory, anomie theory, institutional anomie theory, general strain theory, theory of delinquent subcultures, theory of differential opportunity, focal concern theory, theory of delinquent gangs, theory of oppportunity, basically any theory that is talked about in our text book, and the name of my textbook in case you wanna take a look at it is Criminolgy (theories, patterns, and typologies) by siegel 10th edition..the theory just needs to be unique and very specific to the factors that leads to juvenile delinquency.

Title: identity

Total Pages: 5 Words: 1406 Works Cited: 0 Citation Style: APA Document Type: Essay

Essay Instructions: This is final question for a graduate International Relations Class titled Identity, Harmony and Conflict that must be answered using the following three books:

National Identity by Anthony D Smith
Imagined Communities by Benedict Anderson
Nations and Nationalism by Ernest Gellner

It is important that the question is answered using quotes from these books and I need at least one quote per paragraph. The stance of the paper should be that social identity is a means to an end not an end.

This is the question:

Is social identity a means to some end or an end? If a means, what is the end it serves and if an end, how so and why? What does you answer reveal about citizens' willingness to ascribe to ethnic or national mythologies and follow political elites acting on national or ethnic mythologies and even committing crimes on behalf of national or ethnic mythologies?
