A problem analysis - incorporating a small business banking program at a small community bank. Purpose - to expand the bank's product offerings in order to attract a wider market and promote growth. Currently, the community bank offers a limited line of personal accounts - including checking, savings, money markets, CD's, IRA's and education savings accounts on the deposit product side and auto laons and real estate loans on the lending side.

The desired situation would include a product line taht would satisy the needs of a small business banking customer not a major corporation. This would include business checking, sweep accounts, enhanced online features, and business lines of credit to name a few.

The goal of this apper is to review the feasibility of this proposal from a branch manager's standpoint in terms of Financial Accounting - what is it going to cost to implement these various programs and what will be the financial impact - Marketing - what products are feasible to introduce, what do small business customers demand, and how will we market the small business banking program - Regulation and Compliance - what are the rules and how best to implement - Human Resources - required manpower, IT, training, etc.
