What to do: with every dream thers's a reality; the reality is that some realize their dreams and some do not. In the land of opportunity, especially true in silicon valley, this creates many who have acquired great wealth, living lavishly off theri bounty, and many who have not--possibly indignant of the dream. In this essay we'll focus on where we currently are, silicon valley, looking closely at how the dream os opporunity for either fortunate and unfortunate, relates to our way of life. For this essay, you'll wirte a 4 page paper which considers silicon valley as a focus, carefully analyzing the dream of opportunity and the place we live in. I think my focus will be on the california silicon dream as taken a hold on me and I feel that it is a bad think and I need to explain why. I will fax you my thoughts on this question. We need to use five verbal phrases total and underline them and we must sue all three types at least once. built and sold for crazy amounts.
6. Might be opportunity to compare to previous
history, i.e. Gold Rush (Striking it rich) or just
before the Great Depression (flappers). The book
Traci checked out mentioned a tulip craze in
Europe but I realize now that is not Calif history.

C. Dot.com peak.
1. 1998 - 2000 (ish)
2. People throwing money away.
3. IPO/stock options/millianaires overnight
4. Culture of living in a dream like it would never
end, jobs with video games, free lunch, parties.

D. Dot.com bomb started around (April) 2000.


# A fully 2 pages annotated bibliography of at least five sources, primary or secondary (atleast 2 sources should be from a book). Patricia Dunn is not with Hewlett-Packard no more. It all started with a leak; somebody was giving out important company secrets. And with all the deft Hollywood style gumshoe-esque thinking Ms Dunn hired Private Investigator Ronald DeLia to find out just who it was. The Private Investigators posed as H-P directors, as journalists, and more to root out the information. But more to the point, all you really need is a social security number and a valid zip code and you can pose as the person and hack your way in. This my friends is called pretexting.
I am NOT going to ask you if pretexting is morally acceptable. That would be way too easy. What I want to know is:
Should Patricia Dunn have been forced to resign?
