Sacco and Vanzetti are mentioned in most textbooks, while the Newport Sex Scandal has yet to be mentioned in a
textbook. The Newport Scandal was not an isolated incident, in fact a similar sex scandal took place at the same time at Harvard University. The Navy often engaged in policing the same-sex acts of its sailors in this time period at various naval bases. These two events are very different but happen within the same time period.
