Essay Instructions: DISCUSSION AREAS...NOT A RESEARCH PAPER.
DISCUSSION 1:

**World War I and the Treaty of Versaille

First, why did Europe go to war in 1914? How important were nationalism, imperialism, and militarism in causing the war? What other factors contributed to the war? Which individual or country, in your opinion, was most responsible for the war?

Second, where did the makers of the Treaty of Versailles, which ended World War I, go wrong? Instead of creating lasting peace, this treaty and its punitive provisions sowed the seeds for a much more devastating second world war. Why did the makers of the Treaty of Versailles include the provisions they did? What were they hoping to achieve?

Third, why did the United States Senate reject the Treaty of Versailles? What objections did they have to the treaty, especially to the League of Nations? Why was the United States not ready for peace through collective security?

Fourth, why did the newly created League of Nations not keep the peace? To what extent did sovereign interests, nationalist sentiments, and anti-colonialism interfere with a lasting peace? What other factors interfered with peace through collective security?

**FOR THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOVE, I NEED 4 DISCUSSIONS. THIS IS NOT A RESEARCH PAPER, ITS JUST A DISCUSSION PORTION FOR THE ONLINE CLASS I'M TAKING. I NEED 4 DIFFERENT DISCUSSIONS BUT ALL OF THEM CONCERNING THE SAME TOPIC WHICH IS "World War I and the Treaty of Versailles" EACH DISCUSSION SHOULD BE AT LEAST 150 WORDS..PLEASE DO FIRST DISCUSSION, THEN SECOND,THEN THIRD,THEN FOURTH AND ASNWER EACH ALL QUESTIONS REGARDING EACH STEP BUT IN A SHORT ESSAY.
************************************************************
Discussion 2:

**FOR THE SECOND TOPIC IF THE DISCUSSION WHICH IS "THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION" I ALSO NEED 4 DIFFERENT DISCUSSIONS BUT CONCERNING THE SAME TOPIC" THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION" EACH DISCUSSION ABOUT 150 WORDS.

First, let's begin by thinking about the Russian Revolution from the viewpoint of the revolutionaries in 1917. Why did the Revolution occur? What were its aims? What did the revolutionaries hope to achieve?

Second, let’s look at the revolution from the viewpoint of the Russian people. Why was communism such an appealing philosophy to Russian factory workers, soldiers, and peasants?

Third, did Lenin, and later Stalin, deviate from the true spirit of communism as expressed by Karl Marx? What tactics did they use to win mass support?

Fourth, what did you learn about the practice, as opposed to the theory, of Communism from the "Study Guide for the Communist Manifesto?"

Fifth, although the policy of laissez-faire (a hands-off approach) was in effect in Western Europe during the early phases of the Industrial Revolution, it didn't always work satisfactorily. Why? What role does the government play in socialist, communist, and radical reform movements? Why is this appealing to so many people?

***PLEASE WHEN U SEND ME THE PAPER , CAN U DO LIKE THE TITLE TOPIC THEN NUMBER THE DISCUSSION 1,2,3,4....THEN THE SECOND SECOND TOPIC AND THE DESCUSSIONS 1,2,3,4,5.

****please remember, these are just 2 discussion portions for two different topics. I need 4 different discussions for each topic because I have to post 4 disscussion for each topic for four different days. Thank you!
