plot, usually ordered chronologically or
through any other logical means.
*In the first part of the body, dicuss the first aspect of the theme by beginning with a topic sentence which generalizes about the theme. the next few sentences, provide background information for the supporting quoatation which follows. the analysis should focus on how the theme is revealed and developed through the quotation. be sure to explore the ideas about life that the quotation illustrates. this pattern of generalization/introductory infromation for the quotation/the quotation/analysis should be used as much as possible in each paragraph to thoroughly illustrate the theme and its development.
*the second part of the body illustrates the next aspect of the theme as stated in the thesis. the topic sentences introduces the theme and the remainder of the paragraph is developed through introductory statements that lead into direct quoatations which are followed by in-depth analysis.
