After acknowledging the benefits of the DEVEREUX EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSESSMENT (DECA) program, I learned that this can be a unique study to target specific areas that young children struggle with. From this perspective, ?resilience was operationalized as strengths in emotion and regulation and prosocial skills? (Howell, 2011). However, this is a strong foundation for the confidence needed to build a strong academic foundation.
Research Problem Statement:
Psychological stress in early childhood carries the potential for negative impact that is evidenced in throughout the lifespan of the individual. Rosa, et al. (2012) argue that the income eligibility requirements of state and federally of state and federally-funded early childhood education programs results in high enrollment of children from families at or below the poverty level. A primary consideration is that ?Children and families living in poverty face several risk factors that are associated with children?s behavior problems such as harsh discipline, maternal stress, and depression? (Rosas, et al., 2012).
Questions:
Can I propose a Qualitative design and analysis research study on the above assessment, ?DEVEREUX EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSESSMENT (DECA) program? If so, will it be possible to use historical research as a Qualitative method?
