Hypothetical Family: M.K. is a 52 y old divorced female who is head of household. She is a smoker & recently diagnosed with diabetes and Non-Hodgkin?s Lymphoma. L.K. is the 21yr old daughter of M.K. who also smokes and is the single, unemployed mother of a 1yr old boy. They all live together in a 1 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn NY.

Essay Instructions: Persuasive Letter

Drawing upon the research you performed through the other two components, students will write a persuasive letter to their Member of Parliament, asking the MP to take a specific action on the issue you selected for your critical assessment. The letter should be no more than 2 pages in length and it should be formatted as a business letter. In addition, you should use the block format for your business letter—all components should be left justified and single spaced, except for a double space between paragraphs—and 12 point, Times New Roman font. You should only use paraphrase quotations, and the citation information should be in APA format and included within the syntax of your sentence. Rather than a traditional works cited page, you should enclose a page titled ‘Further Reading’ that lists your sources (in APA format).
