Essay Instructions: oil and gas law Coursework Question (70% Weighting)

Describe and analyse the framework (legislation, treaties, industry practice,
guidance etc) which exists for neighbouring states to develop transboundary
offshore oil and gas resources, from exploration to cessation of
production/decommissioning. Illustrate your answer using examples from at
least three pairs of neighbouring states and support your work with relevant
sources.

Essay Instructions: Included is a copy of the Abstract i need you to follow. The Term paper needs to be 7 pages with 6 references in APA format and a word document .doc or .docx is acceptable. I also need at least 2 graphs in the document showing price elastisity of demand for oil or some sort of explaination of Macroeconomic pricipals and how they apply to oil prices.

Instructions for preparing this assignment are as follows:

Each paper is to be an analysis on the recent economic events or economic reports from the supplemental resources or references. The focus of this assignment is to relate and analyze current events to basic principles of macroeconomics covered in this course. It is not acceptable to just regurgitate statistics. The student’s paper should indicate that he/she has a clear understanding of theory learned in class and its application/operation in the ‘outside world.’

ABSTRACT
Why are oil prices so unstable? Is it due to the lack of production? Or is it related to the supply and demand of oil? What impact does OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) really have on the price of oil? What are the long term effects of high oil prices? These questions answered by first looking at and understanding the current production, supply, and demand of oil and how it affects price. Also within these variables is speculation and consumption affecting the price. Looking closer, we can analyze these relationships through graphical representations of the price elasticity of demand. Finally understanding what makes oil prices so volatile we can analyze some past history of oil prices to see if this has happened before. The price of oil, and more important to the consumer, the price of gasoline at the pump, is a very hot topic. One that will arise again I am sure when the price of oil rises once again.

Essay Instructions: The purpose of this assignment is to compare Western involvement of oil in Nigeria and the effects that it has on the country and its people. I need at least 10 quotations and parenthetical citations. Really the good or victim needs to feel like Nigeria in the paper and the West needs to seem like an exploiter. Big Oil companies are also considered the to be imperialistic. The topics to include in the paper can include the effects on the people, military involvement, civil war, coups, etc. The main point needs to be that lack of real aid and exploitation of Africa are the reasons for its lack of development.
