Essay Instructions: 1. Research 3 additional scholarly QUANTITATIVE articles that pertain to your topic. 2. In addition to the discuss of the 3 journal articles, continue a Literature Review of your chosen topic and include a list of 7-10 references that support and pertain to your topic of interest. For each reference include a brief statement that summarizes the objective/conclusion of each of the 7-10 references.

For example are there fewer negative outcomes (medicaiton errors, falls etc) in hospitals or specific units which employ a higer degree Bachelors trained nurses than units or hospitals that employ a higer degree of LVN's and Nurses aids/CNA's

Essay Instructions: Teaching in Nursing Education
The most competent nurse educators understand not only the scope of their responsibilities, but also the historical, social, and organizational forces that continue to shape their profession. In this week’s Discussion, you will examine the ways in which nursing education has changed in recent years and describe the forces that led to this change. You will also identify traits of the most and least effective nurse educators you have had and analyze their approach to teaching. Finally, you will reflect on your own experiences as a nurse educator, relating your current teaching skills to the core competencies as identified by the National League for Nursing.
As you post your comments, be sure to draw on relevant concepts and terminology from your previous course, NURS 6300, as well as this week’s Learning Resources.

With these thoughts in mind: Post your thoughts on teaching in nursing, addressing the following:



How has nursing education changed since you first entered the nursing profession? Explain societal, economic, and political forces that might have impacted this change in nursing education.

Identify the most effective nurse educator you have encountered. What made this educator so effective? Identify core competencies that demonstrate their effectiveness as you describe at least one specific instance in which you analyzed this person’s approach to teaching, describing at least one specific instance in which you felt he or she expertly facilitated your learning.

Describe the educator you have found to be the least effective. Again, analyze this person’s teaching and offer reasons for your negative learning experience.

Briefly describe your experience so far as a nurse educator??"of patients, other nurses, community groups, and so on. Then select one of the core competencies in the NLN article “Core Competencies of Nurse Educators with Task Statements” and relate it to your teaching. Identify the two tasks listed for the competency you feel most confident in performing well, and the two you think you most need to devlop. Explain why.
