Process evaluation can be conducted in a manner highly similar to program evaluation, with an identification of specific levels of efficiency and consistency desired and empirical observation to determine if and to what degree those outcomes are being achieved (Lewis et al., 2012). Outcome measures can be obtained in a similar manner and often in more concrete and simply observed qualitative fashions (Lewis et al., 2012). For the evaluation of the Consultation and Education Department at Greenby Community Mental Health Center, one useful process evaluation measure would be self-reported learner satisfaction. This would demonstrate the degree to which the educational programs being implemented were perceived to be as efficient and effective as desired, and could help identify areas for improvement.
