As a result, American public schools require policies and curriculum practices that specifically address these increasingly important issues. In this regard, there must be a comprehensive curriculum developed that provides the level of education concerning other peoples and their cultures for America's public school students. Time is of the essence and half-measures will not be sufficient to meet these important needs. Policymakers must take action today to address these pressing issues before even more violence and multicultural strife wrack the nation's schools. In this regard, the WebQuest approach to encouraging students to learn more about other cultures has been proven to be an effective adjunct to the public school teacher's repertoire of tools, and this method should be applied to the issue of fostering intercultural harmony in the nation's public schools.
