Renaissance-Reformation Europe was an era of new ideas and new discoveries that helped to transform Western Civilization and the world itself. The explorations of Christopher Columbus and Ferdinand Magellan along with intellectual pursuits like those of Sir Thomas More contributed significantly to this dramatic change. In your paper, please analyze and discuss how each of these three works reflects the ideas and spirit of the Renaissance. Use specific references from each text to support your analysis. Also, please reflect on and discuss specific ways in which the voyage of Columbus may have contributed to More’s conception and writing of his classic work Utopia.
