Olice angrily turns to Popeye and says, "Are you going to let him talk about me like that? Teach him alesson, Popeye!"
Popeye and Bluto decide to have a fist fight. Olive is enraged at Bluto, and enthusiastic about Popeye fighting for her honor. However her enthusiasm turns tjo alarm during the fight. Popeye is taking a lot of hard punches to the head. He is proctically unconscious on his feet. Olive fears that Popeye is about to be killed or to sustain brain damage from the beating.
Olive tries her best ot stop the fight. She is much smaller and weaker than the combatants, and there is no one else in sight to call for help. She steps between the combatants and begs Buto to stop, Bluto pushes her to roughly to the ground and continues his onslaught on Popeye.
In Despration, Olive then reaches for a piece of discarded lumber, which happens to be lying on the ground nearby, and strikes Bluto on the head with it, killing him instantly. She is indicted for homicide.
