In this essay you will introduce the problem, give background information, present a proposal for change that includes feasible solutions, address the counterarguments, and motivate readers to do something about the problem.

Your proposal argument should include the following:

Title:
Choose a catchy title that introduces the topic of your essay
Introduction:
Grab the reader's attention with a strong lead-in. Be clear about who your audience is. For example, begin with an anecdote, a personal experience, a vivid description, dialogue, a quote, or a startling statistic to appeal to the readers.
Identify the problem at hand.
Provide necessary background information about the problem if needed for understanding.
Body:
Present your solution to the problem. How will it work? Why is it the best solution? Why won?t other solutions work as well as yours?
What are the steps in implementing your solution? How will it solve the problem?
What are the positive consequences of this solution?
How is your solution feasible?
Address the opposition. Show that you've thoroughly considered the strongest opposing viewpoints to your argument by presenting a counterargument.
Conclusion:
End with a call to arms, an anecdote, a phrase, or a quote to urge the reader into action. You may even want to state exactly what the reader needs to do.
You do not need to state "in my opinion" or "I think" in this assignment once you've stated your opinion in the thesis statement. It will be clear from your introduction that the essay is your opinion. Remember to use the tactics of pathos, ethos, and logos in your essay.

The length should be 3 to 5 pages, double-spaced (12 pt.)
