Essay Instructions: Literature as education philosophy, There, the focus is more on your personal educational philosophy, although values obviously play a part in that self-definition. Use the LLoyd Jones's novel, Mr. Pip or Emma Donoghue's Room as a basis for discussing an eduational philosophy. ie. what elements in the story might serve as metaphors for, or exemplars of, a teaching/learning situation? Essay Instructions: Literature Written Analysis
Analyze and interpret two works of literature. You will analyze the ways in which the characters in the literary works struggle against or interact with their surrounding societies. You will do this by using two literary elements to show how the author introduces and expands on these concepts.

(Items C-#4 & 5, D-#7 & #8: Analysis examples must include a quote that supports how the literary element reveals the characters’ social struggles. *Total of 4 quotes* Analysis must describe the specific social struggle(s).
