Select and research a city, citing all references found in the New Testament. It is also important to identify the association that Jesus had with the selected city, as well as the important events that took place there. The same is true if you choose to research a city visited by Paul.

Describe the special events associated with this city, such as the following:
? An explanation of this city's occupation in the 21st century (i.e., the city is in ruins or is still occupied)
? Any demographics in ancient days and in the present
? What the city is like today
? Pictures of the city as it was and as it is today, if possible
? Determination from research of any conflicts surrounding this city that may still be raging in the 21st century (e.g., some argue that Jesus is from Bethlehem and others argue that Jesus was from Nazareth)

Essay Instructions: This is an argument essay based on a book called "A Woman in Jerusalem", the story is basically about a Russian woman named Yulia, who moved to Jerusalem that got killed in a suicide bombing, her body was transported back to Russia for burial but when they arrived in Russia her mother protested that her body should be buried in Jerusalem instead because she had considered Jerusalem to be her city. The argument I have to make is we are basically trying to argue why Jerusalem is called "everyone's city" by the author, which basically I have to bring out why Yulia still choose to live in Jerusalem despite making less money (she was an engineer but moved to Jerusalem and became a cleaning lady at a bakery factory), probably because she loves the city. My essay have to have facts why people want to move there despite the circumstances that are present in Jerusalem

Book Critiques: A Guide

1. The goals of the book critique are to identify the author?s thesis, explain her argument and her sources, and to evaluate her argument.

2. Begin with an introduction that explains the main theme or thesis of the book, or the reason for the author?s writing of the book. You may also refer to issues in the existing literature the author seeks to address. It is not necessary to include a chapter-by-chapter summary, but you may choose to do this.

3. If you quote from the book or refer to a specific passage in it, include a citation as a footnote or endnote.
It is not necessary to use any outside sources in writing the book critiques, but if you do, cite those sources.

4. Do not use long quotations.

5. Use standard grammar, and avoid colloquialisms.

6. Write as if you are addressing an educated non-specialist who has not read the book. Someone who has
an idea of major issues in modern history, sociology, anthropology, or political science should be able to grasp
the merits and the flaws of the book by reading your critique.

7. End with a concluding section that summarizes and restates your observations and evaluation of the
book.
