Collect graffiti from a number of areas, i.e., restrooms, desktops, sidewalks, etc. It is best to have several areas to compare. Take photos or sketch examples of the different kind of graffiti you find. Divide the statements into categories, including insults, boasts, politics, etc. Can you assume the authors represent the general population? What types of subcultures are represented? How does graffiti from different areas compare? What does it tell you about your own culture?
