The expression was originally meant to describe someone you just met only to learn that you both shared a mutual acquaintance. Today, it has taken on a new meaning given our international ties. We often think along the lines of the global economy but global health issues are also important. Most recently, the U.S. was concerned about the H1N1 Virus and the impact a pandemic would have if it hit our shores. As such, choose any global health issue that you are interested in and describe how it might impact others parts of the world. You might consider using a mapping approach to illustrate your health issue (for example, in certain regions of Africa the incidence and prevalence of HIV/AIDS continues to be quite concerning). Include in your paper the social, economic, and cultural aspects that might impact the global health issue described in your paper. Please note that any charts and or illustrations are NOT part of the ten page requirement for the final.
