o Introduction: Introduce the movie to the reader and its relevance.

o Primary Issue(s): Discuss various ethical or social implications or stances surrounding the topic(s) within the
movie. Be sure to include theories where applicable. If identified issue has two opposing arguments, explain each

o Contemporary Importance: Argue why this topic/issue is important today and its impact on the sport industry.
Use outside sources to help substantiate why important.

o Personal Opinion: State and provide evidence to support your personal opinion or stance on the issues portrayed
in the movie. Outside sources may bolster your opinion.

o Conclusion: Summarize the main points of the presentation

Friday Night Lights directed by Peter Berg a 2004 sports drama film.

There are a number of secondary political and social issues existing in Odessa Texas where the movie takes place, all of which share ties to the Permian Panthers football team. These include socioeconomic disparity; racism; segregation (and desegregation); poverty and coaching ethics. These issues can be discussed in the Primary Issue, Contemporary Importance and Personal Opinion sections of the paper.
