Essay Instructions: This paper is to be written as a persuasive essay, arguing why ensuring environmental sustainability is important. Also, the essay should include what the United States (as a national body) can do to help maintain environmental sustainability, as outlines in the Millennium Development Goal Seven. This may be expressed as a logical, cohesive argument that would tackle international environmental issues. The essay must be written from a global perspective, taking into consideration current/past issues in countries all around the world. The essay must include references to the work of the United Nations, and any efforts that have already been done to address this issue. This is a formal paper – to be written without the use of any first person, but should include a minimum of three quotes. All information must be properly cited within the text, and a bibliography page including all used references must be attached to the essay.

Essay Instructions: Summarize progress made in the U.S. toward environmental sustainability and compare it to sustainable practices currently being employed in Europe or a country of your choice.

o to access the roll of importance of environmental policies as a part of universities branding campaign
o how universities enhance their brand value through environmental policies
• Briefly discuss methodologies that will be used ie qualitative and qualitative. Semi structured interview for the environmental team at the universities and questionnaire for the students and public (universities in London)
• contribution ie branding in universities are less researched
Literature review:
Anything relevant to the topic i.e. brand value, environmental sustainability, university branding, social responsibilities, competition etc.

• UK universities are increasing school free from 3000 pounds per year to 9000 pounds per year due to governments decrease in funding
• UK government supported a world-wide re-branding exercise campaign to establish clear and competitive identity for UK universities in order to attract more international students.
