Essay Instructions: Weigh up carefully the main similarities and the most significant differences between the biblical account of creation and the creation story of the Babylonians (Enuma Elish).
How would you respond to someone who claims there are no substantial differences, and that the Israelites merely borrowed a pre-existant creation myth and 're-badged' it as their own.

To be written from a Lutheran Christian perspective: must include the obvious conclusion that there obvious differences and that the purpose is different and that the form is similar.

The use of Literary analysis of text type, beginning and end of biblical account, internal structure (in terms of chiasms, parallel panels, plot progression, character portrayal, informational gaping, historical setting and theology of text should be used.

Format: MLA (be sure to include a works cited only if using outside sources)

Avoid cliches and unsupportable generalizations. Titles are generally underlined or italicized to distinguish them from characters.Underline or italicize, do not do both. Quotation of less than five lines in you paper are set of by quotation marks and identified by page number.

Analyze the theme of Leadership and Power using three of the course texts. Some questions to consider when formulating your thesis: How do leaders come to power? What are the responsibilities, real and symbolic, of the leader(s)? What responsibilities do the citizens of a given society have in choosing leaders or in holding leaders accountable for their actions? What recourse do citizens have against tyranny? How do these trends still impact our understanding of leadership?
