Essay Instructions: Please make this essay two pages.
For the first, plz talk about:By the late 1600s, England had finally managed to place permanent colonies in North America. Briefly discuss ONE region -- the Chesapeake (Virginia and Maryland), New England (Plymouth and Massachusetts Bay), the Carolinas (North and South Carolina), OR the Mid-Atlantic (Pennsylvania only). Consider these questions: What kind of people settled there? Why did they come there? What kind of economy did the colonists set up? What forms of labor did they use? What kind of government did they develop? How did they interact with Native Americans in the region?

How did slaves eventually become acclimated to North America, and what did they do to form communities and to attempt to keep their African cultures alive? (Give specific examples.)
