Essay Instructions: I will be emailing:

? 2 sources to include
? Class textbook chapters (can be used as cited references)
? Instructor-designed study guide (included for informational purposes only)
? Example essay to emulate

My course uses the Voices and Visions poetry series, including the videos.

Judith Farr’s The Gardens of Emily Dickinson is one good additional source.

In addition, I am including an example of an instructor-approved essay that is appropriate for my class and grade level. It is similar to something I would write. Please use this essay as your guide for the appropriate number of quotes and level of writing needed.

My instructor considers Richard Sewell the true expert on Emily.

My general thesis is that Emily Dickinson used her understanding of science (geology, biology, astronomy, chemistry, etc.) to help make sense of her life/world (religion, current scientific understanding, women’s place in society, love, her self-imposed exile, family, etc.). You can focus on just one or two or as many aspects as needed to make a coherent analysis.

This seven-page paper can probably be best written as a biographical criticism, with some psychological & historical aspects included, but I am flexible, as long as is clearly one style of criticism or another, such as biographical, historical, psychological (probably too advanced for me), etc. Again, the sample essay I included is generally what I am aiming for.

I need a MLA title page, in-paragraph citations, and a works cited page (4-5 references will be fine). No footnotes.

There are faxes for this order.

Essay Instructions: This is paper should just be a five paragraph essay. It is about what makes Emily Dickinsons poetry unique. There should be examples in it from The selected poems of Emily Dickenson, the book she has, to prove why her writing is so unique. I need it by 900 AM, I know that is a short period of time, but it is imperitive i get it by then. Thank you very much
