This is for an epidemiology paper on the focal issue of safety from a primary health care aspect on the chosen topic of driving safety in the elderly population. The purpose of this assignment is for you to apply a systematic approach in the form of the epidemiological triangle model (agent, host, and environment). Part of this background related to the assignment as a whole, but gives a reference point of the directed objective. You will engage in both descriptive and analytic epidemiology, develop a hypothesis related to your assigned focal issue of Safety, and search for form(s) of epidemiology research that will assist you in answering the hypothesis. Additionally, Primary health care as a worldview is focused on the health of the population, not on the health of an individual or on the disease entity itself. Articles used are to support your hypothesis related to your focal issue of safety (not patient safety, but rather safety as a whole related to primary health care- ie. seat belts, gun safety). In the paper, make sure to identify the study design and how the study supports your hypothesis. The population should be representative of the population you are focusing on in your paper. )
