what they are, how they relate to one another, their relationship with other psychological aspects of the mind, and anything else dug up on this topic that can fit into a research paper.

Essay Instructions: I am writing a two page paper on applying Sigmund Freud's (Id Ego and Super Ego) onto serial killer Ted Bundy. To me it looks like Ted Bundy did not have a Super Ego leaving only the Id and Ego. I aim to explain why this may be true through examples of his actions during his life. In addition, how not having a Super Ego could explain why he was devolving and becoming more primal near the end. This is the reason why he was caught.

Essay Instructions: A Concept that Freud explored was Ego Defense mechanisms. He coined many terms that have been in popular parlance for the last 50 yrs : Denial, Projection, Regression, Repression, Displacement, Passive-Aggression, Reaction Formation and Sublimation. Freud contends that we all use all of these, to varying degrees, to defend against assaults on our sense of “good self” (Ego). The troubles arise when we overuse a defense when the effect of our ardent defense (self-protection) becomes more debilitating than the original dis-ease. Typically when these defense mechanisms are presented, we may be quick to identify them as employed by others; rarely do we see these as clearly in ourselves.

In 2 typed pages discuss your own employment of one or more of these ego defenses.
