Essay Instructions: You have a friend who believes that creationism should be taught in the public schools. She claims that there is at least as much evidence against evolution as for it, and that scientists argue about evolution all the time. She also claims that evolution is "just a theory" because it is untestable and cannot be observed. There is just as much evidence for creationism as for evolution, and therefore it is only fair to present both sides of the story.

How would you respond to those arguments?

Write 3-4 pages, double-spaced with normal margins and font size. The paper must address philosophical, scientific, and legal issues, and must provide convincing examples. The following papers are suggested:

Dobzhansky (1973) - Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution
Futuyma (1983) - The case for evolution
Overton (1982) - Creationsim in schools: The decision in Mclean vs. the Arkansas board of education
Ridley (1985) - Is evolution true?

Obviously this is a course in evolutionary biology. While the idea of Creationism must be given consideration, only an essay with STRONG arguments in support of evolution will
receive a favorable grade!!!

Essay Instructions: This research paper on Evolution/Creationism must be three pages in length, standard margins, double spaced, and a 12 pt Times New Roman font. The first page will be the background/historic information about the topic. The second page will describe the Darwin evolution theory part of the controversy. Finally, the third side will explain the creationism side of the controversy. I'll need four non-Internet sources. These sources can include books or magazines. Please note that I am a creationist. The last assignment done by "Christopher" defended evolution of which I had to rewrite almost 50%. I would also prefer a different writer.
