-I am a civil engineering student and trying to apply for engineering management program.
- I do not believe that my previous college grades reflect the index of my abilities.
- I think the most important factors for going to school is not about getting a good grade but being able to apply the knowledge I gained from going to school in real life experience.
- Even I didn't not have a really high gpa, I was selected to be an engineering intern at Massachusetts highway department among a pool of highly qualify candidates during my sophomore years.
- I was confident to apply what I learn in school to my internship and never afraid to rise question in the area that I am confuse about.
-During my junior summer, I was selected as return engineering intern at Masshighway due to my previous performance.
-Aside my doing my academic work, I am a well rounded person who participated in campus activities such as Relay for life and went study abroad to Beijing (taking courses that are not related to my field of studies). I was also an active members of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Alpha Phi Omega (volunteer within the city of Syracuse).
-From the experience I had as an undergraduate, I believe I can now better handle the graduate level course works.

Essay Instructions: I am looking for a 3 page synopsis on Soils as discussed under the topic of civil engineering. Please include types of soil, soil indexing, and soil testing and mechanical properties.

I added 2 more pages to 10 pages(3000words ) , ( made it 12 pages ) for extra work of summary ,bibliography ,list of figures and etc..
