[Since English is a second language for me, I need this essay to be as straight forward as possible which means no difficult nor fancy vocabulary, please do use the simplest vocabulary to describe your point, really appreciate it, thank you very much~]

This essay is based on course readings (which I will send as resources). No library research is required; this is an analytic essay, not a research paper.
Approximately 1200 words.

Based on the information you have gleaned from the textbook and the following articles, you need to establish your own response to the essay question ? this will be your theses. State your central argument (or theses) in your introductory paragraph and put this statement in bold. Support your theses with evidence taken from selected readings. Your answer should be comprehensive, deal with specific issues and make specific references to your readings, including conflicting views where appropriate. Your task is to provide the evidence that supports your theses. You are building an argument. In a short essay like this, avoid summarizing events or describing historian?s findings. Explain, using an active voice, why you have reached a particular conclusion and back up your claims with historical examples.

The following articles address themes that are relevant to the question to some degree or another: See articles by: Brown, Lee, Stonechild, Plamer, Berger, Miller, and Levitt. (I will send these articles as resources). Levitt provides a useful assessment of the question. Use at least 5 articles

All pages must include a formal title page, footnoted references to the text and articles consulted, and a bibliography. You can expect to have over 15 notes.

Essay Instructions: The intention is to examine the history of French Canada from the period of contact until 1995. History 220 will examine economic, political and social factors that contributed to the narrative of the French Canadian experience. The purpose is designed to allow you to appreciate the chronological narrative of the history of French Canada and to interpret the effect of critical events and individuals on that narrative.

The essay must make direct reference to no less than 6 sources, and must make good use of the following link below that is a Canadian Historical Book Library source.

http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/cha-shc/008004-111.01-e.php?q1=H&interval=100&PHPSESSID=93jld5d26gf0hdb028o0h1at55
These following books were also the books for the course that you may also want to use:

1. R. Douglas Francis, Richard Jones and Donald B Smith, Origins: Canadian History to Confederation.
2. Alan Greer, The People of New France
3. Susan Mann, Dream of Nation Robert Bothwell, Canada and Quebec: One Country Two Histories

The essay must be 1000 words long, and be grammatically correct, as well as careful that no plagiarism will be committed.

The topic of choice is completely open to anything within the realm of the course but I would like to take an argumentative tone and address the issue of the Resistance of the Iroquois with regards to the Beginning settlement of New France in Canada. Identify the role and impact that the Church had on this settlement and identify the true reasons behind the resistance of the Iroquois people. How did it affect a complete civilization and how the injustices of this forced settlement made by the French is any different of a violation of Human Rights we see today in France against another civilization - The Human Right to practice one's religion and its dress code (niqab issue). Also mention the significant role the Jesuits & Champlain had in all of this. (past)

I would like it to take the tone that secularism has no right to force its juridical views against another civilization, whether it be the Native people who were here in Canada first to begin with, nor today with other ethnicities, and religious groups wanting to practice their Divine Right to practice their religion openly.

Thank you.
