Essay Instructions: Bioterrorism research efforts are vital to effective response and mitigation.

1. Critical analysis of the selected activity is to be provided. Please cite all references including peer-reviewed articles as practical.

Essay Instructions: Case Study on Bioterrorism

In order to assess risk and possible targets, it is important to understand the technical aspects of bioterrorism. Address the following:

1. Create a scenario of a hypothetical bioterrorist attack involving botulism or plague. Your scenario should include characteristics that are more indicative of an intentional outbreak than a natural outbreak.

2. Describe how the outbreak characteristics would have been different in the above scenario if the outbreak had been natural rather than intentional.

3. Describe how the federal/local government should respond to the specific hypothetical bioterrorist attack.

Paper and PowerPoint Presentation

Each person will select a topic or interest area (for example, bioterrorism, environmental health, genetics, nursing doctorate, nursing scholarship, etc.) that will impact the profession of nursing in the future.
